All Settled
Last weekend Jake and I drove up to Twin Falls on Thursday night, loaded a Uhaul and drove back on Saturday morning. It was a busy and exhausting weekend in Twin but it was a good a good one. Laci had her baby a couple days before we arrived so we were able to hold her, she is so precious! I wish I had had my camera. It is always nice to be able to spend time with family. We really enjoyed ourselves but was ready to be back in Utah and get moved into our new place. We had a lot of help unloading the truck, and as soon as it was unloaded we started our first shift of work. We have been having so much fun and learning a lot. We feel so blessed to have this job, and be living in Utah. We have most of our house decorated and things put away, it is feeling more and more like home everyday.

Dream Job
For the last couple months Jake and I have been struggling with looking for a job. Since the store closed down in Twin Falls we have been searching, praying, and fasting, for something to come our way. We went to Chicago hoping that would be right, and did not get the job. We have had other interviews but no offers. It was starting to wear us down. There were times of frustration, annoyance, hurt, motivation, praying and so forth. I knew that Heavenly Father was aware of us but there were times when we struggled because we have been doing everything in our part to find a job. When I started feeling alone this is when Heavenly Father would show me he was there with one of his tender mercies.
After I finished school we came to Utah for a baby blessing, and planned on staying to look for jobs. My sister-in-law Katie was helping us look for jobs, and came across a job for family teachers. We liked what we read online and met all of the qualification plus some, and decided to apply for it. The job is for me and Jake, to work together and live with 8 foster boys. They are kids that have been kicked our of their homes for some reason or another. We will be living in a house with them and taking care of them and teaching the kids to function in society. (If anyone knows us this is right up our alley.)
We went to our first interview and it went perfect. We left feeling so good about how things went, and knew this was the job for us. They called us back a few days later for a second interview. After we set up the second interview we were feeling good and every time that we would kneel and pray about it we both felt an overwhelming peace, and knew this is where we wanted to be, but needed them to want us. The second interview was conducted in the house that we would be living. We were able to take a tour, meet all the boys, and have our interview right there. The more we learned about the job, the more we were interested. They called us the next day and offered us the job. What a huge answer to prayers. I know that we had so many fasting and praying for us, and we are so grateful to have wonderful friends and family. Getting to this point feels like it took forever! But I am grateful for what I have learned in the process. My testimony has grown stronger, and it has been reaffirmed to me that I know that Heavenly Father is looking our for us and he knew where Jake and I needed to be.
We are excited to start our new job and get settled in Utah. We start Monday morning and could not be more excited.
